Academic advising across the NMSU System is a shared partnership between a student and an advisor that teaches the student how to define, plan, and achieve their educational, career, and individual goals within a respectful, caring, and inclusive environment. Academic advising empowers our diverse student population to become active and effective agents of their own learning by proactively connecting with students at key points during their college journey.
