Best Buddies at NMSU

Best Buddies� mission around the globe is inclusion. Bringing inclusion to the NMSU main college campus starts with friendship. Friendship is how everyone gets to know each other, and how a more welcoming environment is created. Historically, adults with intellectual or developmental disability have been isolated in home, work, and school environments. Best Buddies is changing this by providing the opportunity for people with IDD to be involved in campus and community life. With this chapter and all the other chapters around the world, we hope to create a world where inclusion is natural and organizations like Best Buddies are not necessary. Right now, change is needed, but in the future, Best Buddies hopes its members will, in essence, put it out of business. We aim to make NMSU a better place through increased inclusion.
