About
Latin American Programs supports students of ALL ethnic/racial backgrounds. We are dedicated to promoting and empowering ALL student success through education, advocacy and development of cultural literacy. We specialize in supporting first-generation/low income college students in navigating the university environment. Among our services are informal advising, computer lab and lounge, general advise and resources for DACA and undocumented students, scholarship opportunities, as well as tips for applying for scholarships, resume help, etc. Latin American Programs is home to six student organizations including College Assistance Migrant Program Student Council (CAMP), Graduate Student Social Work Association (GSSWA), Kappa Delta Chi (KDCHI), Mexican American Engineers and Scientists (MAES),Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS), and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).
