About
The Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology (CEP) has several rapidly growing fields of study as well as innovative graduate and undergraduate programs. The mission of CEP is to promote social justice advocacy through the cultivation and preparation of paraprofessionals and professionals in mental health counseling, school psychology, counseling psychology, and clinical psychopharmacology. Our programs emphasize multicultural research and approaches to working effectively with diverse populations and systems. We create collaborative relationships with educational, health, mental health, and other community settings to reduce health and educational disparities. We aspire to nurture active learning, critical thinking, and respectful dialogues about diversity.
