Gender Diverse Aggies
About
We are an NMSU student group promoting gender diversity and the expression of all genders. Our group provides a space for all people to feel safe and supported, and to discuss who they are and to learn, regardless of their gender identity or expression. Our group is for everyone! Why does the Gender Diverse Aggies group exist? The Gender Diverse Aggies (GDA) student group began in Spring 2015 as a response to the lack of organizations and resources for transgender and gender nonconforming people both at NMSU and within the larger Las Cruces community. We felt that by forming an official student organization, we would be better able to serve as advocates for the trans* and gender non-conforming students on campus and in the community. What does a Gender Diverse Aggies meeting look like? Our meetings are very friendly! We discuss matters of identity, and plans for advocacy and upcoming events, and engage in friendly conversation! All are welcome to attend our meetings which are currently held in the NMSU LGBT+ Programs office in the Corbett Center Room 208.
