KRUX Radio
About
KRUX 91.5 FM, established in 1989, is New Mexico State University’s student-run, non-commercial radio station dedicated to creativity, inclusion, and student empowerment. Entirely operated by students, KRUX offers hands-on experience in broadcasting, media production, digital content creation, and leadership development—preparing students for real-world careers in media and beyond.
Broadcasting alternative music, student-led talk shows, and culturally relevant programming, KRUX reflects the diversity of the NMSU community and serves as a platform for independent voices and underrepresented artists. The station is structured with a team of directors, DJs, content developers, and interns, all committed to upholding FCC compliance and KRUX’s core values.
Beyond the booth, KRUX is known for hosting campus and community events such as KRUXFEST, an annual multi-day music and arts festival, and collaborating with other student organizations and creatives. Whether on air or on campus, KRUX fosters a collaborative environment where students can express themselves, build skills, and shape campus culture.
