Tau Kappa Epsilon

About

The exclusive purpose for which this organization is established and for which it shall be operated is to promote and secure the intellectual, educational, social, athletic, recreational, and community benefits derived from fellowship among its members and to promote such fellowship.

Originally established in 1922 as one of the first Greek letter organizations at New Mexico A&M, Gamma Sigma re-chartered into the Alpha Omicron chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon, a national fraternity. As the oldest and longest running chapter, TKE's are part of a long line of proud Aggies.

TKE offers its members local chapter resources such as free parking at it's property, use of a historic chapter house, academic support and leadership opportunities in the chapter, to include regular community service at El Caldito Soup Kitchen.

As a part of NMSU's IFC and FSL, members can take advantage of larger volunteer opportunities, Inter-Fraternity athletics, Risk Management and mental wellness resources, and the use of various NMSU Facilities. TKE's particpate in the FSL community through semester events such as Homecoming and Greek Week.

Finally, as a chapter in the international Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, members are part of a large, diverse, and successful alumni network that is serious about being a Fraternity For Life. Travel opportunities include Province Forum, Regional Leadership Conference, and Conclave, where chapters meet at the Province (NM,AZ), Regional (Western States), and International level respectively. TKE's can also apply to the Charles Walgreen, JR. TKE Leadership Academy in Colorado Springs Co.
